As I reflect on the ebb and flow of the past year, the unique challenges we have faced as a community have not only been unprecedented—but at times—uncertain.
Yet, through it all, one constant remains top of mind within this sea of change—and that is your resiliency. As a valued member of Cal Coast Credit Union, your dedication and loyalty truly shine. Members are undoubtedly the point of pride for Cal Coast and we thank you for placing your trust in us.
You can be proud to know that Cal Coast has flourished and grown to more than $3.4 billion in assets, serving nearly 200,000 members. As San Diego's longest-serving credit union, we have continued to engage with the community by supporting organizations that help improve the lives of others. We hold true to our commitment to supporting youth, education, and the health and well-being of people and animals in our community.
Our staff has not missed a beat and continues to rise to the occasion as volunteers in the region. In addition, the Cal Coast Cares Foundation has awarded more than $140,000 in student scholarships and educator grants this year, bringing the total amount of funding awarded to local students and teachers in a few short years to over $550,000.
There is no doubt that we have learned and accomplished so much in 2021—but there is more to be done! As we look ahead to a new year, we will continue to set our sights even higher and enhance our member experience and benefits for you.
